REDUNDANCY PLAY

REDUNDANCY PLAY

“How do you like what I wrote?” Abe asked.

“I felt it was a bit redundant,” Ray answered.

“Redundant?” Abe asked.

“A bit,” Ray reiterated.

“Redundant? What do you mean by redundant?” Abe asked.

“It’s sort of like, in a way, you kept saying the same thing over and over, but only differently, kind of,” Ray replied.

“”So you’re saying it’s repetetive?” Abe asked. “As if I’m continually restating the same concept over and over, again and again, and again, but with slight variation?”

“Yes,” Ray responded. ”It’s similar to an echo that expresses the same sentiment more often than once.”

“Are you sure it isn’t merely superfluous?” Abe asked.

“Yes. Yes, I’m certain it isn’t simply superfluous,” Ray opined. “It is surely, no doubt, redundant.”

“Huh. How so?” Abe asked.

“It has a lot of redundancy,” Ray reaffirmed. “It’s redundant.”

“Should I fix it?” Abe asked.

“It’s all the same to me,” Ray said.
